Accommodation

Children friendly hotels, motels, cabins, camping sites...

Before you Book

Check that the accommodation you choose has Family Rooms, or Interconnecting Rooms and be aware that properties often only allow these on a request basis, and are often not guaranteed. If you are planning on spending any length of time in the complex, you may want to check that they have a children's menu, babysitting service or kids clubs. We also recommend putting some time into checking the location of the accommodation. It is always handy to be central rather than a 20 minute taxi ride away. The location can also be a safety issue – is it located on a main road or open waterway?

Hire

Hiring equipment at your destination – like strollers and cots can ease your load.

Apartments

If you are spending any length of time in a certain location, then you may want to look at the option of an apartment, or villa, or maybe even a home stay. This option will allow you to spread out and perhaps prepare some of your daily meals rather than having to eat out for every meal and you don’t have to worry about disturbing other guests quite as much!

Camping

Most camp grounds have a variety of accommodation choices, from your traditional campsite, caravan sites – to luxury self contained cabins. This can be a great alternative to your general hotel motel style accommodation because they often have great kids facilities like playgrounds and pools and can offer a more social aspect for the adults – like comparing sightseeing notes with other tourists over the afternoon barbeque.

Holiday with friends

Planning your holiday with another family can cut costs significantly; sharing accom, and sharing responsibilities like babysitting for one another while you go out for a romantic dinner.
